250 km’s in 10 days….can it be done?

The time has come for a new running goal.

Starting tomorrow I am attempting to cover 250 km’s over the ensuing ten days.  This is a 50 km increase on a target that I set and achieved in early November last year.  

Lately i’ve been feeling a bit under done in fitness, perhaps due to Mrs Bunny’s sublime cooking and our lazy evenings together watching movies and documentaries.  Anderm, my addiction to watching European football into the witching hour and beyond.  So what better way to get oneself into a higher level of fitness than pushing the boundaries and setting a difficult goal?  And, as an added bonus, I have convinced Mrs Bunny to set her own personal goal of 20 km’s of running during the same ten day period.  Considering she isn’t a fan of running to begin with, this will be a great test of her mental toughness to achieve something that she has never contemplated before.

I’m confidant we will both reach our goals and this will only mean higher targets for the next challenge.  Sometimes the greatest aspect of a relationship is the ability to motivate and support one another along the pathway to the finish line.

If you have not set any goals as yet in 2014 maybe this week is the time to sit down and re-think what you want to achieve throughout the remaining months of the year?
